Efficient Air Service is a family-owned and operated business founded by Albert M. Balonze, Jr. in April of 2005.
Albert earned his HVAC education at Lincoln Technical Institute in Union, New Jersey, followed by years of apprenticeship and field experience as a refrigeration and air conditioning service technician. He later became a licensed Master HVACR Contractor in New Jersey.
Efficient Air Service started out of Albert’s home in Clifton with one helper. As we continued to grow, the team moved to the current Riverdale location in 2011.
Today, our Riverdale facility gives our team the space and resources to serve homeowners throughout northern New Jersey. We are extremely fortunate to operate our 3,000-square-foot facility, where in addition to our excellent service, we can also fabricate our own custom ductwork in-house.
Our team celebrated 20 years in business in 2025. Although the company has grown, our focus remains the same: provide knowledgeable work, honest recommendations, and an experience that earns our customers’ trust.

Keith
Our Master Plumber extraordinaire! You name it and Keith can do it! Water heater repairs, dance moves, heating system replacements (boilers or furnaces), and being an awesome dad. If your boiler is leaking, or your furnace has a drain problem Keith knows how to make it right.
Tyler
Our hunter-gatherer, and self-proclaimed wannabe farmer is a great plumbing and HVAC installer. Need to replace your boiler? Need a plumbing repair? Maybe you are looking to upgrade your HVAC system? Calling in this HVAC professional is always a good choice.
Linda
Our Install Coordinator and office jokester, Linda keeps the office smiling and the installation team running. Got any questions about an AC install, or a boiler replacement, or maybe you would like a mini split (ductless system) installed in your home, Linda is here to help!
Candido
Our charismatic Warehouse Manager. Fondly goes by “C”, Candido keeps our service and install teams running smoothly. He is the one keeping our stock of parts full, even with the shortages! Our techs turn to Candido for the HVAC parts, plumbing parts, filters, humidifiers and more! And if you ever need to know the weather, C is better than a barometer.
Pete
Our Service Team Leader is always ready to lend a hand and help a client, a fellow tech, or dispatcher. We can send Pete out to heat pumps, steam units, AC systems, or anything HVAC related. If your furnace isn’t running, or your heating system is making noise we know Pete is on his way to set it right!
Robin
Robin is our behind-the-scenes liaison and manages the awesome HVAC office team. She knows the ins and outs of all NJ HVAC service. If there is a part our technicians need, she can track it down. If you need something explained about your heating maintenance or how your HVAC system works, she is always ready to help! Not to mention she’s a local from West Milford!
Nick
Nick is our lead install technician. And as a father of 2 he knows how to keep things organized and get a job done. Need and HVAC replacement done? There isn’t a better HVAC contractor around. Nick has replaced furnaces, installed ductless units (mini splits systems), installed boilers, and AC installations. He also fabricates ductwork and has done countless other installs big and small. He’s a local from Hoboken!
Ruben
Ruben, or “Ruby” by his friends, is the smiling whirlwind. Before Ruben joined the team in 2020 EAS didn’t realize that installing a hot water heater was an Olympic sport that Rubin has a Gold medal in. Ruben is a plumber by trade, so anything with water he is our man. Ruben is a local from Clifton!
TJ
TJ is one of our newest team members, but he is a quick study. He is learning more about HVAC every day and can braise, solder, check wiring, wire smart thermostats (Ecobee, Nest, Google Home) as good as any senior technician. HVAC technicians are made, and TJ is going to be one of the best! Another NJ native from Little Ferry!
Tony
Tony, our newest service technician to the EAS team. A new dad, and Honda aficionado Tony loves the trade and fixing motors and machines is his specialty. Tony is mechanically inclined and is our go to for oil boilers, oil fired furnaces or anything that needs a repair. But better yet, Tony is the perfect HVAC technician to talk anyone through an HVAC problem. Tony is a local in Boonton!
